The best free analytics site, by far, we found is Alexa.com. Now, Alexa does not provide too much detail for free, especially if your site is below 1,000,000 in page ranks, but it will give you enough basic information to know if you are improving daily or not.

By the way, DO CHECK DAILY. It takes five minutes to see if you are moving forward or backward in your blogging, and realizing there is a problem early is the best thing you can do to prevent much larger problems in the future.
